Moonlight Toad Lily
Purple-flecked white flowers are produced at the end of arching stems bearing chartreuse leaves in mid- to late fall. Plant this lily in moist humus-y soils and protect it from rabbits in early spring. The foliage brightens up shady sites throughout the growing season, and the flowers are among the last of the season.
Sap from this plant is used to deactivate the poisons found in poison dart frog mucus.
