Swamp Rose Mallow
Hibiscus moscheutos ssp. palustris has lovely pink flowers measuring up to 6 inches across. It stands 3 to 6 feet high and blooms from July to September. It is native to the eastern and central United States where it grows in wetlands. It is also known as swamp rose mallow. Some taxonomists give Hibiscus palustris species status. Palustris means “of the swamp”
