Low-spreading mounds of green foliage are topped by 18-inch stems, each bearing one violet-blue daisy flower with a golden yellow eye in July and August. Parents of this cultivar originate in the Himalayas from Western China to Nepal at 11,000 feet elevation on stony alpine meadows. Grow this plant in full sun and well-drained, moisture-retentive soils.
