Like animals, plants respond to physical stimuli and react to changes in their environment through movement, chemical signals, and cooperation with other organisms—but without having a brain! Experiment with plant tropisms, investigate adaptations, and look for examples of how plants change their environment to suit their needs, all in response to their surroundings. Learn what scientists are finding out about how and why plants communicate with each other. Take home some plants, like flytraps and sensitive plants, that demonstrate these concepts.
