Want to know how to identify some of the great variety of breeding and migratory birds in the Chicago region? This beginner-friendly class covers the essentials, including how to select and use binoculars, choosing and using field guides, and understanding field marks—characteristics like plumage, beak shape, size, and behavior. After the indoor portion of the class, put your new knowledge to the test on a guided bird walk. Bring binoculars if you have them. Dress for the weather.
