Shrub bush clover is an eastern Asian native shrub can grow to 10’ with a similar spread. It blooms on new wood in late summer with rose-purple flowers. Top growth may die back in the winter, but the roots are hardy to Zone 4. It can grow in full sun to part shade but absolutely needs good drainage. Once established, it is drought tolerant. If given ideal conditions, it may self-seed.
