Perfect Storm Rose Mallow
Hibiscus 'Perfect Storm' has large white flowers with red eyes and dark purple foliage. At maturity it stands 30-36 inches high and blooms from mid summer to fall. It is attractive to hummingbirds while resistant to deer. It is hardy in zones 4 -9. The name Hibiscus came from the Greek word “hibiskos” that meant “marshmallow.” The sticky root or stem of some plant in the mallow family was used at one time to make marshmallow confections.
